Emmaus recieves A rating from State 4 Years in a Row!
The Indiana Department of Education has released A-F grades for all schools in the state. This year’s A-F grades are the first ratings state officials have calculated using a new formula, known as a “growth model.” The formula still uses results of statewide tests, ISTEP+, to compute the ratings. But state officials say the new model places more emphasis on individual students’ academic growth, rewarding schools who are helping students make greater gains but penalizing schools where students are stagnating or declining.Emmaus Lutheran School has earned an “A” in 2012 with a perfect 4.0 out of 4.0 score. This year marks the fourth year in a row that the school have received an “A”. God is to be thanked and praised for his blessing of hard-working students, devoted parents, talented teachers, and a supportive congregation to make such an achievement possible.
